The TGSA was originally established in 1980 to provide a top quality softball program for girls residing in the New Trier Township. The organization has since evolved to welcome players from neighboring and nearby communities as well. TGSA strives to maintain a strong base of community players in the organization, while also opening its doors to players from nearby areas seeking a top quality softball program.
TGSA is a non-profit organization run primarily by parent volunteers. Through participation in the Trevian program, its players learn responsibility, hard work, teamwork and how these things add up to group success. Trevian players also build self-esteem and the confidence to take on difficult challenges later in life.

On Friday, July 8, the Trevian Blue 14U team traveled to Peoria to compete in the USSSA “B” State Championships, coming away with 4th Place. After going 1-1 in pool play on Friday, the Trevians started slow in the double elimination tournament – dropping their first bracket game to Oly Fire. But the Trevs were able to bounce back and win the next four elimination games. The Trevians beat the Illinois Sluggers (10-2), the Illinois Valley Aftershock (7-6), and the Henry County Hurricanes (6-4). In the fifth game of the day on Saturday, the Trevians knocked out tournament favorite, the Big Muddy Lunachicks, 11-3, with eight Trevian players combining for 15 hits in the contest. The win over the Lunachicks allowed the Trevians to advance into the final four on Sunday, ultimately losing their sixth bracket game 3-1 to Oly Fire.
After overcoming early setbacks during pool play, Anna Kasper's 12U Blue squad marched through bracket play and earned a runners-up finish in the Gold Division at the Spartan Classic Fastpitch Softball Tournament. The team swept through their first three bracket play games with a decisive 11-4 victory over the Park Ridge Pistols Blue, a hard-fought 10-8 win over the Grayslake Pride Black, and a solid 5-2 victory over the Huntley Red Raiders. The girls were upended in their quest for the championship when they fell 10-6 to the Park Ridge Jr. Hawks on 6/26/16. Despite falling short of achieving their team goal, the girls were thrilled with their runners-up finish and thoroughly enjoyed the overall tournament experience. The deep run in Northbrook should give the 12U Blue girls added confidence as they tackle the back half of their 2016 season.
