North Park University, IL (2022)
Alyssa Aragon played with the 18U for two seasons. She is currently studying exercise science at North Park University. Alyssa is a utility player for the softball team, but primarily plays short stop and third base. In high school, she was a 3-sport athlete (basketball, volleyball, and softball) and earned All-Conference all four years for softball, as well as winning two conference championships (2015 and 2016) and one regional title (2015). She was a captain on all three teams and won Outstanding Senior Athlete. At North Park University, she has run numerous softball camps with herteam for middle school to high school players. Alyssa is excited to be able to stay involved in the Trevian community and hopes to bring as much fun and success as a coach as she had with the Trevians as a player.
Alyssa Aragon Named To All-CCIW Team
NAPERVILLE, Ill. — North Park softball saw two players selected to the 2021 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) all-conference team, as the league announced its selections on Thursday morning. Junior shortstop Alyssa Aragon received first team recognition while junior utility player Rachael Feazelle earned her second career honors with a second team selection.
Aragon finished her breakout junior season as one of the best hitters in the CCIW. In league action, the Viking shortstop was ninth in batting average (.374) and runs scored (22), sixth in slugging percentage (.586), and eighth in hits (37). Additionally, Aragon posted a league-leading 13 doubles in CCIW play and totaled the second-most assists (82). Entering postseason play, Aragon is hitting .368 with five homers, 27 RBI, and 32 runs scored.
Feazelle picked up second team honors for the second time in her career. In league action, the Viking third baseman and pitcher hit .263 with 16 RBI, four doubles, and nine runs scored. On the mound, she totaled 81.1 innings in CCIW games, earning five wins while picking up a pair of shutouts. Additionally, Feazelle assisted on 62 plays on defense.
