What has playing softball taught you?
Playing softball has taught me the importance of hard work. I’ve learned that you can always control your attitude and effort. These lessons learned in softball transfer well into all areas of my life and I feel prepared to tackle any challenge ahead because of my experiences as a softball player.
What was the most valuable part of your experience with Trevian Softball?
Apart from the obvious enjoyment that came from playing with close friends, my most valuable experience with TGSA was helping out with younger teams and athletes. Beginning in high school, I was able to volunteer at younger team’s practices and clinics. This opportunity made me realize I have a passion for athlete development and want to continue working with athletes and teams.
What advice would you give to young softball players?
Always make sure you’re having fun! Sports should be enjoyable and having fun is what will keep you playing.
What are you doing now and what town do you live in?
I’m currently pursuing my Masters Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Psychology at Michigan State University.
Any other favorite memories, comments or thoughts?
From those early morning games to games under the lights that ended close to midnight, I have so many moments from travel softball that I’ll remember forever.
